Oil dilution occurs due to failed DPF regeneration - either caused by DPF failure (they have a limited lifespan), or driving conditions unsuitable for effective DPF regen. It's a well known issue with Mazda Skyactiv-D engines, just Google "mazda diesel oil dilution" and you'll find many people in the same boat as you are.
I am thinking of purchasing a five year old Mazda 6 2.2 diesel. I've identified a few for £7000 that have around 70,000 miles on the clock. Would you count these cars as good buys? But it is crucial to keep an eye on the oil level. if it rises, fuel is getting into the sump and the engine oil needs to be changed promptly.

13ouC7. We are having problems with a Mazda 6 diesel 2006. DPF light came on twice and the car was taken to a Mazda dealer, both times nothing wrong, they just reset the codes. This caused a huge loss in power, especially when climbing hills (So much that I can't even overtake a bus) however the vehicle still appears to run fine..
