I'm not sure if this will work for Steam controllers but I was having the same problem with my PS4 controller emulating as an Xbox controller. Just go into Big Picture, Far Cry 5, Manage Game, Controller Options, Use Steam Configuration for Non-Steam Controllers - Forced Off. That fixed dpad and reversing for me. < > Howdy all. I truly hope New Dawn has proper controller support, if it is OK I may pick it up if it goes on sale. I intend on purchasing Far Cry New Dawn on the PS4.
